Our History

• 1976

• DIMEX

  Luigi Bindi founded Dimex S.r.l. in 1976 and immediately started buying large quantities of footwear. His first business trips abroad were quickly followed by the arrival of goods into our warehouse. Subsequently, these goods immediately sold out and the business was an instant success. Numerous, dedicated trips to the Far East have allowed him to directly develop and check the production of footwear and to ensure necessary production capacity in the best factories.

• 1987

• LOCATION

  The opening of our new business premises which continues to be the headquarters of all operations for our company today.

  
  

  MADIGAN

  Initial creation and registration of the Madigan Brand.

• 1994

• CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP

  Since 1994 Dimex has invested in the premier level sponsorship of the Italian basketball team, playing in the A1 league.

• 2000

• PALAMADIGAN

  PalaMadigan was born (the Sports Arena in Montecatini Terme - Pistoia), previously known as PalaTerme.

• 2004

• PANTILLE

  The development of our Pantille brand in 2004 embraced a whole range of slippers and indoor shoes inspired by a need for real comfort and relaxation.

• 2005

• HAPPY SHOES ADVERTISING

  Our successful television debut initiated with a brand advertising campaign on Mediaset Italian television network, from the end of 2004 and continued throughout 2005. This advertising allowed our brand to enter the homes of all Italian families and as a result, has become a recognizable 'brand name' thanks to the funny TV spot.

• 2006

• 30 YEARS WITH DIMEX

  In 2006, we celebrated 30 years of dedication and achievement in the industry... A special thanks to all our loyal customers and to all Dimex's Team.

• 2007

• VIA DI FUGA

  The birth of Via Di Fuga brand in 2007, combined elegant design with comfort. Using environmentally friendly materials, all designs are modeled and developed in Italy.

• 2008

• PANTILLE ADVERTISING

  Pantille's brand advertising campaign started on Italian national television network, RAI. Our slogan "comfortable and beautiful slippers", was quoted in several national TV shows such as "La Prova del Cuoco", "L'Eredità", "Piazza Italia"and "Linea Verde", during 'prime time' TV slots.

• 2009

• MADIGAN KIDZ

  Our brand MADIGAN KIDZ was born.... a footwear range fully dedicated to children.

  
  

  MADIMATTI

  Our Children range was 'brought to life' thanks to animation of the Madimatti's group, which consist of 8 funny characters, immediately noticed by an important Italian record company. The secret of their success? Rhythm, Joy and Madigan!

• DIMEX continued researching new trends

  DIMEX continued researching new trends and worked with commitment and dedication to show new collections at the most important Italian Footwear exhibitions.
